About the Project
Local Response has been developed to support Local Government to work with local communities to develop stronger relationships. These relationships play an important role in the response before, during and after an emergency.
1. Managing and supporting vulnerability in the Community Sector
Development of plans and policy to support vulnerable residence and manage the expectations of information collected.
2. Community Sector Master Classes & Training
Designed specifically for Councils and community organisations;
Local Response engages the Community Sector to better support the Emergency Management Framework.

This expertise means they are uniquely placed to identify and assist vulnerable people in the time of emergency. By are providing a framework for both local community organisations and Council to identify and assist the most vulnerable, a more efficient and dignified emergency response can be coordinated in our local communities.
